Athletics Hall of Fame
The Bridgewater State University Athletics Hall of Fame, established in 1986, recognizes the contributions of the developers of and participants in the heritage of athletic excellence at Bridgewater. Eligibility to the Hall of Fame is based primarily on the athletic prowess of the individual and includes consideration of personal integrity, high standards of sportsmanship and good character. Individuals are also eligible on the basis of outstanding contributions to the Bridgewater State University Athletics Program. Athletics Hall of Fame inductees will receive a commemorative plaque. A display in the Adrian Tinsley Center permanently bears each inductee's name.
Student-athletes shall be eligible beginning five (5) years after receiving their baccalaureate degree (undergraduate degree) from Bridgewater State College or University.
Eligibility for a non-alumna/alumnus shall begin two (2) years after service to the athletic program has ended.
University personnel (coaches, faculty, and athletic staff) presently employed at Bridgewater State University, who have completed a minimum of five (5) years of service to Bridgewater State University Athletics.
Each induction one (1) inductee must be selected from the Legends Group. This group includes nominees that have graduated from Bridgewater 30 years or more from the induction year that is being selected. Their nomination must also be part of the Active list of nominations being considered for that year’s induction.
