Bridgewater State University Aquatics Program

The Aquatics Program at Bridgewater State University provides a welcoming, inclusive, and dynamic environment that promotes health, wellness, learning, and community engagement through aquatic activities. Located in the Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool in Kelly Gymnasium, the program serves students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader community with a wide range of opportunities for recreation, instruction, and competitive sport.

The program supports diverse needs and interests through offerings such as open swim, lap swimming, swim lessons, aquatic fitness, and intercollegiate swimming and diving. It also serves as a hands-on learning environment for students in health, kinesiology, and related fields, including programs like the Children’s Physical Developmental Clinic, where students work with children with disabilities in an aquatic setting.

At its core, the Aquatics Program is committed to fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging. We strive to ensure that all participants—regardless of background, ability, identity, or experience level—feel safe, respected, and empowered in our aquatic spaces.
