WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Members of the Bridgewater State University women's cross country team competed at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park on Saturday.

Junior Theresa Connolly (North Andover, Mass.) was the Bears' top runner as she completed the six-kilometer course in a time of 26:21.53 to finish 169th overall out of a field of 338 harriers.

Sophomore Erin Doyle (Seekonk, Mass.) was next across the line for BSU as she posted a time of 26:34.31 (181st place).  Classmate Sydney Quirk (Plymouth, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' top three runners as she recorded a time of 27:19.89 (212th place).

Bridgewater State did not place in the team standings.  Williams College captured the team title followed by the University of New England in second place and Middlebury College in the third spot.

Next Weekend, the Bears compete at the New England Division III Championships hosted by Williams College.
