Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at Codfish Bowl Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's cross country team placed sixth at the Codfish Bowl Invitational held at Franklin Park in Boston.

Senior Krysta Zbikowski (Ashburnham, Mass.) was the Bears' top finisher as she placed 38th out of a field of 141 harriers covering the five-kilometer course in a time of 21:16.

Freshman Ann Pollock (Peabody, Mass.) was next across the line for the Bears as she placed 43rd overall with a time of 21:30.  Pollock was followed by junior Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) in 49th place (21:39).  Juniors Emily Ducharme (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Rachel Ducharme (North Attleboro, Mass.) rounded out Bridgewater's top five runners in 52nd (21:48) and 55th place (22:03), respectively.

Next weekend, the Bears compete at the Tri-State Invitational hosted by CCRI.
