Women's Cross Country Ties for 28th Place at New England Division III Championships

GORHAM, Maine -- The Bridgewater State University Bears tied for 28th place at the 2013 NCAA Division III New England Regional Women's Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday at the Narragansett School in Gorham, Maine.

Sophomore Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) paced the Bears as she completed the six-kilometer course in a time of 23:18.20 to finish 93rd out of a field of 371 harriers.

Junior Krysta Zbikowski (Ashburnham, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Pinkham (Hingham, Mass.) were the only other BSU runners to finish amoung the top 200.  Zbikowski posted a time of 23:46.18 to place 118th overall, while Pinkham was the next Bear to cross the line as she finished 168th with a time of 24:44.35.

Williams College won the team championship followed by Middlebury College in second place and MIT in third.  Senior Kaleigh Kenny of Williams captured the individual title with a winning time of 21:02.18.
