Molly Rouillard Named MASCAC Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the fourth time this season and tenth time over the past two years, Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Rouillard captured top individual honors at the 16th Annual James Earley Invitational held on Saturday at Stanley Park in Westfield.  The Dartmouth, Massachusetts native paced the large field of 354 runners as she covered the five-kilometer course in a winning time of 18:45.91 to lead the BSU women's cross country team to a tenth place finish in the team standings.

Last year during her rookie campaign of 2010, Rouillard captured MASCAC Runner of the Week honors six times and was named both the conference runner and rookie of the year.

This coming weekend, Rouillard and her teammates will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational The meet will take place at Harkness State Park in Waterford, Connecticut.
