BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Joshua Danner-Hicks (Haverhill, Mass.) and junior Brian Espinosa (Rehoboth, Mass.) earned All-NEICAAA honors to lead the Bridgewater State University indoor track and field teams at day two of the 2014 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships hosted by Boston University on Saturday.

Espinosa placed fourth and broke his own school mark in the 200-meter dash with a finals time of 21.86 seconds.  He eclipsed his previous standard of 21.93 seconds set in yesterday's preliminary race.  Espinosa currently ranks 14th in all of Division III in the 200.

Danner-Hicks finished seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 46 feet, 5.5 inches (14.16 meters).  He presently ranks seventh nationally in the triple jump with his school-record leap of 47 feet, 11.75 inches (14.62 meters) set earlier this season at the Tufts Stampede.

The Bears' relay squad of senior Timothy Judge (East Bridgewater, Mass.), sophomore Kevin Sawyer (Woburn, Mass.) and juniors Chris Naughton (Braintree, Mass.) and Josh Goehring (Haverhill, Mass.) posted a time of 3:22.32 in the 4x400 as they eclipsed their previous school mark of 3:22.59 set earlier this season at BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational.  The foursome placed 15th in the event at the meet.

On the women's side, the relay quartet of seniors Karen Anselmi (Franklin, Mass.) and Becca Geldmacher (Rochester, Mass.) and freshmen Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) and Abbie Pustis (Andover, Mass.) posted a school-record setting time of 3:59.74 to place 18th in the event.  They broke the previous BSU standard of 4:01.31 set by Malgorzata Czerwonka, Colleen Davis, Sarah Lagasse and Molly Rouillard in 2011.

The BSU men's team placed 26th in the team standings with seven points.  Southern Connecticut State University won the team title with 118 points followed by the University of Rhode Island (99 pts.) in second place and Northeastern University (96 pts.) in third.
