PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Five Bridgewater State University grapplers competed at the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Futures Tournament on Sunday at the Wildcat Center on the campus of Johnson & Wales University.

Sophomore Donald Yancy (Malden, Mass.) was the only Bear to pick up a victory on the day as he went 1-2 out of the 174-pound weight class with a win by fall.

All told, the Bears went 1-10 at the tournament and ten of the 11 bouts were decided by pin.

Bridgewater finished 12th in the team standings with four points.
