Emily Hiller Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Emily Hiller has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Hiller notched four goals and assist, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Bears at SpringFling 2018 in Englewood, Florida. The Marion, Massachusetts product tallied two goals and an assist in a 17-13 victory over Methodist University, and registered a pair of goals to go along with two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 19-5 win over Emerson College.

In four games this season, Hiller has produced five goals and three assists for eight points as well as three ground balls, two draw controls and five caused turnovers.

The BSU women's lacrosse team is currently 3-1 on the young season. In upcoming action, the Bears are scheduled to take on Wheaton College on Saturday evening at 6:00 PM. Wednesday night's game against MIT has been postponed due to the impending winter storm.
