Geary, Reall Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior midfielder Lauren Geary (Hull, Mass.) and junior defender Gaelin Reall (Providence, R.I.) have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll for the 2016 season.

To qualify for selection, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Geary, who graduated in May with a degree in biology, wrapped up her collegiate career with an impressive 3.63 GPA. Reall, a management major, enters her senior year with an overall GPA of 3.51.

As a team, the Bears also qualified as an IWLCA Academic Squad with a combined team GPA of 3.1 for the 2015-16 academic year.

On the field, Geary and Reall helped the BSU women's lacrosse team post an overall record of 12-6 with a 6-1 mark in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). The Bears captured their fourth consecutive MASCAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the seventh straight season and eighth time overall.
