Allie Forman Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University freshman goaltender Allie Forman has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Forman posted a solid 6.00 goals against average with 18 saves and a .600 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Bears.  The Marblehead, Massachusetts product made eight saves and notched a pair of ground balls in a 7-6 setback to regional rival Wheaton College.  She then stopped ten shots and recorded her first collegiate win as the Bears downed Salve Regina University, 17-5.

In four games this season, including three starts, Forman has recorded 28 saves and produced a 10.03 goals against average as well as a .459 save percentage.  She presently ranks third in the MASCAC in both saves and minutes played (197.30), and is fourth in the conference in goals against average and save percentage.

The BSU women's lacrosse team is currently 3-3 on the season.  The Bears travel to Eastern Connecticut State University on Tuesday afternoon for a non-league game with the Warriors at 4:30.

Notes: Forman is the Bears' third straight MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week honoree.  Teammate Alex King (Weymouth, Mass.) earned the accolade each of the first two weeks of the season.
