NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College junior Leila Mills (Brunswick, Maine) buried the game-winning goal with one second remaining on the clock as the Lyons edged Bridgewater State University, 8-7, in non-conference action on Thursday evening at Keefe Field.

Senior Amy Moreira (Bristol, R.I.) set up the game-winning tally as she received a pass from behind the net with about five seconds to play and found a cutting Mills in the center of the scoring area.

Mills led all scorers with five markers while sophomore Melanie Sharick (Amherst, Mass.) potted two goals and Moreira found the back of the net once. Moreira also compiled three assists and two draw controls.

Geary added a team-best three draws.

Moreira gave Wheaton a slim, 7-6, advantage at the 6:22 mark on a nice pass from freshman Brooke Sabol (Landgrove, Vt.).
