BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University three-time All-American softball student-athlete Jen Goodwin was officially inducted into the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) on Saturday during halftime of the Homecoming football game against UMass Dartmouth.

Goodwin was announced as one of five inductees in the MASCAC Hall of Fame back in May along with Eddie Bynum and John Galaris of Salem State, Joe Zavattaro of MCLA and the 1985-1986 Salem State Women's Basketball Team,

Jen played softball at Bridgewater State from 1993 to 1996. A three-time NCAA All-American, including first team honors in 1996, she was also the ECAC Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996, and the MASCAC Player of the Year in 1996. In 1993, Goodwin was named the Bridgewater State Freshman Athlete of the Year and in 1995 was selected as the Female Athlete of the Year. Her 38 career home runs ranked fifth all-time in NCAA Division III softball history, and she is also ranked in the top ten in runs batted in and slugging percentage.

In 1994, Jen helped the Bears advance all the way to the championship game of the NCAA Division III Softball Finals (World Series). The Bears also competed in the NCAA Tournament in 1993 and 1996, and captured the MASCAC title three times (1993, 1994, 1996) during her career.

Jen just completed her seventh season as the head coach of the Yale University softball team. Prior to Yale, Goodwin spent two years as the Assistant Executive Director for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Goodwin also spent two years as an assistant at Harvard University (2007-2008), and was interim head coach at Dartmouth College in 2004.
