BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- After capturing the NCAA Division III Wellesley Regional Championship, the Bridgewater State University softball team will now host a Super Regional against defending national champion Tufts University.

The Super Regional is a best of three series with game one getting underway on Thursday at 4:00 PM.  Game two is slated for 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon with the "if necessary" game three at 3:30 PM.  All games will be played at BSU's Alumni Park.

Bridgewater heads into the Super Regional with an overall record of 32-12.  The Bears hit the 30-win mark for the seventh time in program history and first since 2001.  Tufts, the top ranked team in all of Division III, captured the Williamstown Regional to advance to this week's best of three series.  The Jumbos are currently 40-3 on the season.

The winners of the eight Division III Super Regionals throughout the country will advance to the finals hosted by Texas-Tyler from May 22-27 at Suddenlink Field in Tyler, Texas.
