BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman forward Jacquelyn Legendre has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Legendre netted a pair of goals in a perfect 2-0 week for Bridgewater State. The Westport, Massachusetts native scored a goal in the Bears' 4-3 non-conference win over Anna Maria College, and also found the back of the net in BSU's 6-4 Little East victory over Eastern Connecticut State University.

In ten games this season, Legendre has produced three goals and an assist for seven points. She is tied for third on the team in goals and ranks fourth in scoring.

The BSU field hockey team is currently 9-4 on the season with a 6-4 mark in conference play. The Bears are locked in a four-way tie for fourth place in the Little East standings with one conference game remaining.

Bridgewater travels to Wellesley College on Thursday afternoon for a four o'clock non-conference game with the Blue. The Bears then head to Salem State University on Saturday at noon for a key Little East contest with the Vikings.
