Three Bears Named to Little East All-Conference Field Hockey Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Three Bridgewater State University student-athletes have been voted to the 2015 Little East Conference Field Hockey All-Conference Team by the league's head coaches.

Senior forward Brittney Field (Hubbardston, Mass.) was named to the second team, while junior midfielder Brittany Cullinane (Lunenburg, Mass.) and sophomore defender Janet Maher (Mansfield, Mass.) garnered third team honors.

Field set career highs with seven goals and three assists for 17 points in 19 games for the Bears. Two of her seven goals were game-winners.

In 72 games over four seasons at Bridgewater State, Field amassed 17 goals and seven assists for 41 career points. She also finished with seven game-winning goals.

Cullinane paced the Bears with ten goals and 22 points in 2015. She is tied for eighth in the Little East in goals and ranks 11th in scoring.

In 58 games over her first three seasons, Cullinane has totalled 17 goals, including six game-winners, to go along with six assists for 40 points. 

Maher appeared in 19 games this season and made 18 starts as she recorded three defensive saves. Maher has five defensive saves to go along with a goal and an assist in 37 career games.

The BSU field hockey team posted a record of 8-11 on the season with a 5-6 mark in the Little East. Seeded sixth in the LEC Tournament, the Bears dropped a 6-1 decision to eventual champion Keene State College in the tournament quarterfinals.
