BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Tori O’Dea has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.

O’Dea ignited a second half comeback in the Bears’ 2-1 Little East Conference road victory over UMass Dartmouth this past weekend.  The South Dennis, Massachusetts native potted the game-tying goal in the 52nd minute as the Bears scored twice in a span of 84 seconds to earn the win.  O’Dea finished with five shots in the contest including three on frame.

In eight games this season, O’Dea has recorded three goals and an assist for seven points.  She ranks fourth on the team in both goals and scoring.

The BSU field hockey team is currently 6-8 on the season and 4-4 in the Little East.  The Bears, who are tied for fifth place in the conference standings, host LEC foe Salem State University on Tuesday night at seven.
