BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Kaylyn Allahyarian has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week.

Allahyarian recorded her first career win and shutout to backstop the Bears to a season-opening 1-0 overtime victory over Thomas College.  The Norwell, Massachusetts native turned aside all three shots she faced in her collegiate debut.

The BSU field hockey team will be back in action on Tuesday night as the Bears head to WPI to take on the Engineers at seven.
