BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Grace Inacio has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Inacio finished 11th in the 200-meter dash in her first collegiate outdoor meet with a time of 25.45 seconds this past weekend at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia. The Taunton, Massachusetts product also finished 17th in the 100-meter dash at Emory with a preliminary time of 12.50 seconds after posting a qualifying round time of 12.44 seconds.

Inacio is currently ranked sixth in the East Region in both the 100 and 200.

The MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor marks the eighth of the academic year for Inacio who also garnered the accolade seven times during the indoor season.

The outdoor season continues for the women's track & field team on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Amherst Spring Fling.
