Sands Earns First Team All-American Honors at NCAA Track & Field Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Bridgewater State University senior Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) earned First Team All-American honors in the high jump on Saturday afternoon at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Golisano Training Center on the campus of Nazareth University in Rochester, New York.

After getting past the first two rounds on her first attempt, Sands cleared five feet, six inches (1.68m) on her third attempt of the third round.

Sands finished eighth in the event out of a field of 20 student-athletes to earn the First Team All-American accolade for the second time in her career.

Earlier today, freshman Alex Huynh (Stoughton, Mass.) garnered First Team All-American honors with an eighth-place finish in the men's high jump.
