
NORTON, Mass. -- Graduate student Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) broke her own school record in the 60-meter dash to lead the Bridgewater State University on Saturday evening at the Wheaton Post-Season Qualifier.
McDonough posted a time of 7.69 seconds in the 60 as she placed first in the event and eclipsed her previous school standard of 7.72 seconds set three weeks ago at the Wheaton Invitational.
McDonough also captured top honors in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.86 seconds.
Freshman Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) posted a personal-best time of 26.03 seconds to win the 200-meter dash. Inacio added a third-place performance in the 60 with a PR of 7.95 seconds.
Senior Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) won the high jump with a leap of five feet, five inches (1.65m).
Graduate student Jailene Escalera (Rockland, Mass.) finished second in the 200 (26.24) and fifth in the 60 (7.98).
Graduate Student Juliana Patrone (Wilmington, Mass.) check in at fifth in the high jump (4'11.5"/1.51m).
In upcoming action, qualifying members of the BSU track & field teams will compete on Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st at the Division III New England Championships held at The Track at New Balance.
