MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Junior Jamelah Foster (Fall River, Mass.) earned All-New England honors to lead the Bridgewater State University women's track & field team at the 2020 Division III New England Indoor Track & Field Championships held on Saturday at Middlebury College.

Foster tied for eighth place in the weight throw with a toss of 48 feet, 0.75 inches (14.65m) as she claimed the Bears' lone All-New England honor.

The Bears' 4x400-meter relay squad featuring seniors Jessica Haywood (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Tess Miller (Uxbridge, Mass.), and freshmen Lindsey Golden (Mansfield, Mass.) and Lily Marra (Lakeville, Mass.) posted a time of 4:17.92 to finish 16th overall.

In the high jump, freshman Abbi Peterson (Watertown, Mass.) tied for tenth with a leap of five feet, one inch (1.55m).

The Bears finished in 26th place in the team standings with 0.50 points.

Next Saturday, select members of the BSU women's indoor track & field team will compete at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet.
