Four Women's Track & Field Student-Athletes Compete at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Four members of the Bridgewater State University women's indoor track and field team competed Saturday afternoon at the non-scoring Bowdoin Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College at the William Farley Field House.

Freshman Lindsey Golden (Mansfield, Mass.) placed third in the high jump with a season-best and Division III New England Championships qualifying mark of five feet, 1.5 inches (1.56m).

Freshman Madison Ashley (Freetown, Mass.) placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.68 seconds, while classmate Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) finished tenth in the 60-meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 10.12 seconds.

Junior Ashley Garvey (Woburn, Mass.) added a fourth place showing in the weight throw with a toss of 42 feet, 9.75 inches (13.05m).

Next weekend, qualifying members of the BSU women's indoor track and field team will compete at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Middlebury College.
