Andrews Places 13th in 400 Hurdles at NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, Wisc. -- Bridgewater State University junior Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) finished 13th in the 400-meter hurdles during the opening day of the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Andrews posted a preliminary time of 1:03.08 in the 400 hurdles following a false start in her heat. She entered the race seeded 11th with a school-record time of 1:01.37 which she recorded at the NEICAAA Championships back on May 11th.

On Friday afternoon, Andrews will compete in the 100-meter hurdles as she is seeded sixth in the event. Classmate Kira Gilbreath (West Haven, Utah) will also compete on Friday in the shot put as the 16th seed.
