
DORCHESTER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles and eighth in the 400-meter dash at the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships held on Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Andrews was the only Division III student-athlete in the finals of both events. She posted a finals time of 8.94 seconds in the hurdles and recorded a preliminary time of 8.98 seconds. In the 400, Andrews recorded a finals time of 58.85 seconds. She garnered All-NEICAAA honors in both events by placing in the top eight.
Senior Kristyn Grattan (Hanover, Mass.) finished 26th in the one-mile run with a career-best time of 5:18.30. Grattan was the only Division III student-athlete to compete in the event.
The BSU women's indoor track & field team tied for 26th place in the team standings with three points.
Next weekend, the Bears will compete at the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships hosted by Rhode Island College.
