TROY, N.Y. -- The 4x400 relay team set a new school record to lead the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team at day one of the 2014 ECAC Division III Championships hosted by RPI.

The foursome of Karen Anselmi (Franklin, Mass.), Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.), Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) and Becca Geldmacher (Rochester, Mass.) posted a time of 3:59.55 to finish 17th in the event at the meet.  They eclipsed the previous BSU 4x400 standard of 4:00.17 set by Co Davis, Molly Rouillard, Jessica Eidinger and Sarah Lagasse in 2011.

Melissa Chiasson (Maynard, Mass.) posted a mark of 139 feet, four inches (42.47 meters) in the hammer throw to place 20th.

Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) finished 22nd in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 40:22.66, while Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) placed 23rd in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.49 seconds.

The ECAC Division III Championship meet will conclude on Friday.
