
EASTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University Women's Outdoor Track and Field team competed at the Skyhawk Invitational hosted by Stonehill College on Saturday. The Bears' placed fourth in the team standings with a score of 90 points.
Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed first in the 10,000-meter run (37:29.04) and qualified for three postseason championship meets (DIII New England, ECAC, NEICAAA) to pace the Bears.
Senior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) also posted a first place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:32.17).
Senior Co Davis (Mansfield, Mass.) added a second place showing in the 400-meter dash (59.29 seconds), while classmate Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) finished second in the long jump (16'10.50"), fourth in the triple jump (34'9.50") and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (16.16 seconds.). Junior Mychal-Lynne Folsom (Rockland, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' top individual finishers with a fifth place performance in the 100-meter dash (13.01 seconds).
Bridgewater's 4 x 400-meter relay team of Rouillard, Davis, and sophomores Malgorzata Czerwonka (Billerica, Mass.) and Laura McHugh (Mansfield, Mass.) place second in the event (4:04.82) and qualified for the ECAC Championships.
The Bears' 4 x 100-meter relay squad of Folsom, Czerwonka, McHugh and sophomore Karen Anselmi (Franklin, Mass.) also finished second in the event (50.92 seconds).
Next weekend, Bridgewater will compete at the MIT Invitational.
