Pair of Track Records Fall as Bears Compete at NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. -- A pair of Bridgewater State indoor track records fell as the Bears competed at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at Boston University.

Freshman Josh Goering (Haverhill, Mass.) eclipsed his own mark in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:05.81 to place 13th in the event at the men's meet.  He surpassed his previous best of 1:06.62 set earlier this season.

Seniors Co Davis (Mansfield, Mass.), Melissa Harris (Uxbridge, Mass.) and Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) along with junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) broke their own school record in the women's distance medley relay as they finished tenth in the event with a time of 12:15.74.  They easily surpassed their previous BSU standard of 12:31.12 also set earlier this season.

Day two of the NEICAAA Championships continues on Saturday.
