MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track and field team competed at the non-scoring Wesleyan Invitational III on Saturday.

Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) and senior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) qualified for both the Division III New England and ECAC championships in the 1,000-meter run.  Rouillard finished third with a time of 3:05.31 while Lagasse was right behind in fourth place checking in at 3:06.30.

Sophomore Melissa Chiasson (Maynard, Mass.) qualified for Division III New Englands in the weight throw posting a distance of 42 feet, 2.75 inches (12.87 meters).  Chiasson placed seventh overall in the event.

Sophomore Laura McHugh (Mansfield, Mass.) placed sixth in the 200-meter dash (27.88 seconds), senior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) seventh in the triple jump (32 feet, 3.75 inches) and senior Melissa Harris (Uxbridge, Mass.) seventh in the 600-meter run (1:46.38).

The Bears are back in action next weekend at the BU Terrier Invitational.
