Women's Outdoor Track Competes at Husky Spring Open

DEDHAM, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track and field team opened the 2011 season at the non-scoring Northeastern Husky Spring Open on Saturday.

Junior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) paced the Bears as she placed fourth in both the long jump (15'11.00") and triple jump (34'4.75"), and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.79 seconds).

Robitaille qualified for the New England Division III Championships in the long jump and triple jump.

Senior Brittany Page (Winthrop, Mass.) posted a pair of eighth place finishes in the shot put (32'10.25") and hammer throw (127'8.00").

Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) crossed the finish line sixth in the 200-meter dash (27.58 seconds), while sophomore Taylor Smith (Cumberland, R.I.) rounded out the Bears' top placewinners with a sixth place showing in the long jump (15'3.25").
