Robitaille Sets BSU Indoor Penthathlon Mark at MIT Alumnae Meet

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) set the BSU indoor record in that pentathlon at the MIT Alumnae meet on Saturday, January 8th.

Robitaille placed third in the event with a score of 2,751 points, breaking the previous BSU indoor mark of 2,620 points set by Chrissy Hrenko in 2007.

Robitaille tied for second in the high jump (1.52 meters), placed third in the long jump (4.69 meters) and the 55-meter hurdles (9.39 seconds), fourth in the 800-meter run (2:37.97) and fifth in the shot put (7.09 meters).

Also competing at the meet and in the pentathlon was classmate Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.). Lagasse finished in fourth place with a score of 2,604 points as she captured first in the 800-meter run (2:27.33) and placed third in the shot put (7.63 meters), fourth in the high jump (1.46 meters), and fifth in the long jump (4.30 meters) and 55-meter hurdles (10.17 seconds).
