MEDFORD, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College sophomore Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, MA) earned All-New England honors at the Division III New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Tufts University over the weekend.
Robitaille placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles as she posted a time of 16.08 seconds in the qualifier and 16.18 seconds in the finals. The top eight place-winners in each event earn All-New England status at the New England Division III Championships.
Robitaille also tied Rachael Ackley's BSC school record in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 6.25 inches. Ackley set the mark during the 2009 campaign.
Bridgewater's relay team of juniors Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, MA), Carissa Penny (Gardner, MA) and Brittany Robinson (Gardner, MA), and sophomore Melissa Harris (Uxbridge, MA) placed 11th in 4 x 800 with a time of 10:07.93.
Junior Brittany Page (Winthrop, MA) finished 15th in the hammer throw (119 feet, seven inches) to round out the Bears' top performers.
