Bouchard, Hauswirth Lead Indoor Track Teams at Husky Winter Carnival

DEDHAM, Mass. - Senior Avery Bouchard (Fall River, MA) and sophomore Amanda Hauswirth (Methuen, MA) highlighted the Bridgewater State College men's and women's indoor track and field teams at the Northeastern Husky Winter Carnival on Saturday.

Bouchard was the top Division III runner in the 3,000-meter run at the meet posting a BSC school record-setting time of 8:45.98.  He placed fourth overall in the event finishing behind runners from UNH, Northeastern and UMass Lowell. Bouchard broke his own school mark of 8:56.51 set in 2006.

Hauswirth was also the top Division III runner across the finish line in the 3,000-meter run at Saturday's season-opening meet.  She placed 12th overall with a time of 10:55.36.  Hauswirth also ran a leg on the Bears' 4 x 400 relay team that placed 18th with a time of 4:34.07.
