She also recorded 43.20 points on her tenth dive (inward 1 1/2 somersault pike) and 41.60 points on her seventh (forward 2 1/2 somersault pike).

Junior Sydney Bluestein of Amherst College captured top honors at the championship meet on the one-meter board for the second straight season with 469.70 points.

NYU senior Issara Schmidt (463.89 pts.) and MIT sophomore Fiora Beratahani (440.50 pts.) rounded out the top three scorers at the meet. They were followed by senior Adelaide Herman (421.85 pts.) of Williams College in fourth place, MIT senior Rachel Loh (417.40 pts.) in fifth, and Simard in sixth.

Last season, Simard placed eighth out of a field of 31 student-athletes during the one-meter competition. She also finished 17th out of 26 competitors as a freshman in 2023.

Simard will compete in the three-meter diving competition on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM.

The top four finishers in each of the two diving events automatically qualify for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, with qualifications beyond the top four possible to reach a total of eight divers that will qualify from the region.
