BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. – Senior forward Alana Vincent (Taunton, Mass.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist to the lead the visiting Bridgewater State University women's soccer team to a 4-0 shutout victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Friday night in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) contest at Clean Harbors Stadium.

The Bears improve to 5-5 on the season and 2-1 in the MASCAC, while the Buccaneers fall to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Bridgewater State is now 12-0 all-time versus Mass. Maritime as the Bears have never allowed a goal to the Buccaneers.

Vincent converted a penalty kick after drawing a foul in the box in the 22nd minute to give the Bears a 1-0 lead.

Senior defender Allison Aldred (Saugus, Mass.) netted her first goal of the season and second of her career in the 29th minute to extend the BSU lead. Vincent tracked down the ball in the corner and sent a pass back to Aldred who one-timed a shot from 25 yards out over the keeper's outstretched hand and into the back of the net.

Vincent made it a 3-0 game in the 54th minute with her team-leading eighth goal of the season and 25th of her career. Senior forward Emma Sanders (Seekonk, Mass.) set up the breakaway goal with a through ball and Vincent slipped a shot inside the right post.

Senior forward Amelia Burke (Plymouth, Mass.) capped of the scoring with an unassisted marker in the 63rd minute. Burke won a battle with two defenders just outside the 18 and drove a shot that deflected off the keeper's hand and into the back of the net.

The Bears held a 48-2 shot advantage for the game as well as a 9-2 edge in corner kick attempts.

BSU senior goalkeeper Kellie Souza (Wilmington, Mass.) stopped the Buccaneers' lone shot on goal as she recorded her fifth win and third shutout of the season.

Freshman netminder Paige Albertson (Nantucket, Mass.) made 18 saves in the setback for Mass. Maritime.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday evening. The Bears travel to UMass Dartmouth for a seven o'clock game with the Corsairs, while the Buccaneers head to Becker College to take on the Hawks at six.

Notes: Vincent now has 60 points (25G, 10A) in her career as she is tied with Michelle Rhodes (2001-04) for seventh place on the Bears' all-time scoring list.
