
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior attack Camryn Gonsalves has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
A native of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Gonsalves tallied eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears to go along with four ground balls.
Gonsalves notched three goals, five assists and a pair of ground balls in a 13-9 season-opening win on the road over Salve Regina University. She also recorded five goals, four assists and two ground balls in an 18-8 road victory over Wheaton College.
In 51 games over four seasons with the Bears, Gonsalves has amassed 91 goals and 60 assists for 151 points. She has also accumulated 54 ground balls, ten draw controls and 26 caused turnovers.
The MASCAC Player of the Week accolade marks the second of Gonsalves' career.
The BSU women's lacrosse team is off to a 2-0 start for the first time since the 2019 squad opened the season with three straight wins.
