
WORCESTER, Mass. – Corey Stalters (Norton, Mass.) earned All-NEICAAA honors to lead the Bridgewater State University men's track & field team on Friday during the opening day of the 2024 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by the College of the Holy Cross.
Stalters placed fourth in the javelin, first among Division III student-athletes, with a season-best toss of 206 feet, four inches (62.91m). He currently ranks sixth on all of Division III in the event.
Chigozie Adigwe (Lowell, Mass.) finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.99 seconds, while Thomas Barinelli (Tewksbury, Mass.) was 13th in the 110 hurdles prelims posting a time of 15.35 seconds.
Barinelli also finished 16th in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, nine inches (6.63m).
Kyle Ackroyd (Charlestown, R.I.) was the 11th runner to cross the finish line as he recorded a PR time of 32:43.06.
Jason Dann (Reading, Mass.) checked in at 14th in the hammer throw with a distance of 167 feet, eight inches (51.11m).
The Bears are in 17th place (5 pts.) after day one of the two-day championship meet which features teams from all three NCAA divisions in New England.
Day two of the NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will get underway tomorrow morning at ten.
