
KEENE, N.H. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team split a tri-meet hosted by Keene State College on Saturday afternoon.
The Bears (2-4) posted a 145-112 victory over the host Owls and dropped a 184-77 decision to Brandeis University.
Sophomore Jirat Saengthong (Watertown, Mass.) captured top honors in the 50 butterfly with a time of 24.21 seconds, while junior Desmond Ng (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) was the first to touch the wall in the 400 individual medley checking in at 4:25.81.
Saengthong also placed second in the 50 freestyle (22.60) and Ng added a second-place performance in the 200 backstroke (2:03.39).
Freshman Matthew Jo (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:10.92.
The foursome of Saengthong, senior Thomas Roch (Chelmsford, Mass.), junior Richard Palanza (Mansfield, Mass.) and Jo finished second in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.21.
The Bears host Division II Bentley University on Wednesday evening at six o'clock.
