BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman running back Jeremiah Julmiste has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Rookie of the Week.

Julmiste rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the Bears’ 17-9 MASCAC win over Fitchburg State University. The Wesley Chapel, Florida native also added one reception for six yards in Saturday's victory.

In five games this season, Julmiste has rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 26 attempts as he is averaging 4.7 yards per carry.

Julmiste is the Bears' first MASCAC Rookie of the Week since teammate Jorge Aquino earned the honor in October of 2023.

The BSU football team is currently 3-5 on the season and 3-4 in the MASCAC standings. The Bears travel to VTSU Castleton later this week to take on the Spartans on Saturday at noon.
