
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Thirty-seven Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2024 Winter Sportsmanship Team.
The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
“I would like to congratulate the 37 MASCAC student-athletes who were named to the 2025 MASCAC Winter Sportsmanship team,” MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann said. “These student-athletes demonstrated the core values of the MASCAC and NCAA’s mission with outstanding sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition in our conference.”
The sports that are represented on the winter team are men’s and women’s basketball, men’s ice hockey and women’s ice hockey and men’s and women’s indoor track and field. A student-athlete from each institution is selected by their coach to be placed on the Sportsmanship Team.
Starting off this year’s sportsmanship teams is men’s basketball. Steven Morrell of Bridgewater State, Jalin Pitts of Fitchburg State, Chance Wells of Framingham State, Jake Bluestein of MCLA, Ethan Doyle of Salem State, Kobe Parker of Westfield State and Jack Lasbury of Worcester State are the honorees.
For women’s basketball, Jessica D’Amours of Bridgewater State, Morgan Genness of Fitchburg State, Michelle Moreno of Framingham State, Maria Orfanos of Salem State, Maddie Pond of Westfield State and Hannah Lomonaco of Worcester State earn sportsmanship team honors.
Skating their way onto the Men’s Ice Hockey Sportsmanship Team are Justin Taylor of Anna Maria, Oliver Cookson of Fitchburg State, Kaleb Kinskey of Framingham State, Easton Moore of MCLA, Brandon Shantz of Plymouth State, Devon Jolley of Rivier, Luke Day of Salem State, Cade Hanley of UMass Dartmouth, Aiden Winslow of Westfield State and Drew Eid of Worcester State.
Landing on the first-ever women’s ice hockey sportsmanship team are Tessa Henry of Anna Maria, Finley Hogan of Framingham State, Kaia Borski of MCLA, Lauren McNeil of Plymouth State, Breezy Parent of Rivier and Amy MacGlashing of Worcester State.
Chandler Doehler of Bridgewater State, Brendan Guenard of Fitchburg State, Jace Falcone of Westfield State and Max O’Connor of Worcester State are the Men’s Indoor Track and Field Sportsmanship Team award recipients.
Wrapping up the winter sportsmanship team honorees is the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Team with Bella Grover of Bridgewater State, Aria DiCato of Fitchburg State, Eliza Lee of Westfield State and Caroline Gilson of Worcester State.
