WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Sixty-four Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2025 Fall Sportsmanship Team.
The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
“I commend the student-athletes from across the conference who were selected to the 2025 MASCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team,” said Commissioner Angela Baumann. “These student-athletes have demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship, a core principle of the MASCAC, and we are proud to recognize them for upholding the highest standards of conduct and respect.”
The sports that are represented on the fall team are men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. A student-athlete from each institution is selected by their coach to be placed on the Sportsmanship Team.
Owen Mackenzie of Bridgewater State, Brady Madigan of Fitchburg State, Parker Winters of Framingham State, Cooper Ogden of Massachusetts Maritime, Reid Sunshine of Westfield State and Alex Matsuyasu of Worcester State were named to the Sportsmanship Team from men’s cross country.
On the 2025 Women’s Cross Country Sportsmanship Team are Naomi Cass of Bridgewater State, Alanis Velez of Fitchburg State, Kate Buban of Framingham State, Natalie Laroche of MCLA, Lorelei Lee of Massachusetts Maritime, Sam Panzeri of Westfield State and Claudia Symonick of Worcester State.
Receiving field hockey sportsmanship teams honors are Kennedy Etheridge of Anna Maria, Catherine Daoulas of Bridgewater State, Sami Yates of Fitchburg State, Natalia Roehr of Framingham State, Siobhan Smith of Salem State, Annalise Lopes of Westfield State and Lizzy MacDonald of Worcester State.
Kicking off the Football Sportsmanship Team are Marino Vedova of Anna Maria, Victor Martinez of Bridgewater State, Christian Donalson of Dean, Christopher Emslie of Fitchburg State, Nolan Mulcahy of Framingham State, Andon Werling of Massachusetts Maritime, Ryan Fleming of Plymouth State, Isaiah Augustus of UMass Dartmouth, Oliver Williams of Westfield State and Micah Haynes of Worcester State.
Men’s golf is next on the sportsmanship team list. Nititorn (Guy) Chimjiw of Marymount, Ryan Wittenberg of Marywood, Easton Moore of MCLA, Michael Murphy of Salem State, David Girouard of Springfield College, Cam Schnopp of Westfield State and Jonathan Wasserman of Worcester State are this year’s honorees.
Macy Hutchinson of Anna Maria, Natalie Mattos of Bridgewater State, Sera Gagnon of Fitchburg State, Lily Gouveia of Framingham State, Allie Bayer of MCLA, Brady Deschamps of Massachusetts Maritime, Lindsay McGotty of Salem State, Kiana Muratsuka of Westfield State and Rylie Plant of Worcester State are the women’s soccer Sportsmanship Team honorees.
In men’s soccer, Ben Chikwanha of Anna Maria, Kyle Sullivan of Bridgewater State, Ethan Melanson of Fitchburg State, Thiago Magalhaes of Framingham State, Brennan Archer of MCLA, Jack Turmel of Massachusetts Maritime, Eric Leuchner of Salem State, Nick Parakilas of Westfield State and Nick Guidi of Worcester State land on the Sportsmanship Team.
Closing out the 2025 Fall Sportsmanship squads is women’s volleyball where Ella Moon of Anna Maria, Meaghan Coutu of Bridgewater State, Jessica Greco of Fitchburg State, Carly Beaulieu of Framingham State, Beth Harris of MCLA, Ashleigh Catlett of Massachusetts Maritime, Celia Carbone of Salem State, Emma Nihill of Westfield State and Alexia Mitchell of Worcester State are this year’s honorees.
