Carolyn Parsley

Carolyn Parsley is the first Bridgewater State student-athlete to be selected to the BSC Athletic Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility. Carolyn's athletic credentials speak for themselves. At the time of her induction, shes wa the all-time leading scorer for the BSC women's basketball program(1983-86) with 1262 points (since surpassed). She competed in four NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships. She was named to the MASCAC All Conference team (1985,86) and to the ECAC All Star team (1986).

Carolyn also made her mark in track and field being a two-time NCAA All American (1983, 86) in the heptathlon (seven events). She held the school mark in that event with 4576 points (since broken). She also played one year in the outfield for the BSC softball team that competed in the NCAA Regional Championships

In 1986, following her graduation, Carolyn was an assistant coach for women's basketball at Brandeis University for three seasons. A native of Braintree, Mass., Carolyn is presently a physical education teacher and Athletic Director at the Atlantic Middle School in Quincy, MA where she coaches Volleyball and Track and Field.
