Jason Manhart has been coaching cheerleading at BSU for the last 17 years. Under Manhart’s guidance, BSU has created two nationally ranked teams that have competed at the NCA College National Championships. The “Red” squad has placed top 3 in the country on nine different occasions, has 4 national championships runner-ups, and in 2011, 2014, and this past year, 2019, brought home the only three National Championships in BSU school history. The “Black” squad has placed top ten in all 9 opportunities it has had the college national championships, culminating with third place finish in 2017, and a national championship runner-up in 2018. Manhart has coached 41 All-Americans in his tenure. Manhart was also an assistant coach at BSU for Swimming and Diving, guiding BSU to one of its best records in history and coaching Jennifer Jackson, a recent Hall of Fame Member inductee.

Before Coach Manhart was at BSU, he was a three-time All-American Cheerleader at Northeastern University in Boston (Undergraduate) and at cheer powerhouse James Madison University in Virginia (Graduate). Manhart was a member of the 1996 Olympic Cheerleading team that exhibited in Atlanta. Manhart was also a member of the prestigious NCA College/High School staff for eight years. Manhart also participated in Football, Swimming, Diving, and Track and Field while at Northeastern, winning multiple conference championships in Track and Field and Swimming and Diving. Manhart was Academic All-Conference multiple times, while earning a Bachelor’s degree in History (96’) and a Master’s degree in Education (00’)

Coach Manhart is a Social Studies/Humanities teacher for the last 16 years in the Boston Public Schools. Manhart also owns and coaches at Full House All Stars, an all-star cheerleading facility that has competed 25 different teams at the Cheerleading World Championships. Coach Manhart resides in Bridgewater, with his wife Tiffany, and children Isaiah and Selena.
