Charlie MacDowell joined the Bridgewater State University Athletics and Recreation staff in February of 2025.

Charlie is a 2021 graduate of Merrimack College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. He also earned a Masters degree in athletic training from Merrimack in 2023.

Prior to joining the Bears' athletic training staff, Charlie served as a student athletic trainer at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School (2021), Tufts University (2022), Boston College (2022) and the University of New Hampshire (2023). Most recently, he was an athletic training intern at his alma mater from October of 2024 until February of 2025.

Charlie is a resident of Rockport, Massachusetts.
