BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman outside hitter Hannah Maymon has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Maymon notched 15 kills and posted a .433 hitting percentage to go along with 12 digs in the Bears’ only match of the week, a 3-1 MASCAC win at MCLA to close out the regular season.

In 32 matches this season, Maymon has amassed 269 kills, a .203 hitting percentage, 230 digs, 21 blocks and seven aces.  She ranks fifth in the MASCAC in kills, tenth in digs and 12th in hitting percentage.

The BSU volleyball team wrapped up regular season play with an overall record of 15-17 with a 4-2 mark in the MASCAC.  The Bears are seeded third at this week’s MASCAC Tournament and will host sixth-seeded MCLA in quarterfinal round action on Wednesday evening at six.
