Robillard, Maymon Named to All-MASCAC Volleyball Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. –Bridgewater State University senior libero Kristen Robillard and freshman outside hitter Hannah Maymon have been selected to the 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball All-Conference Team which was announced by MASCAC Director of Media Relations, Emily Diekelmann.

Robillard is making her fourth consecutive appearance on the All-MASCAC Team and third straight first team selection, while the rookie Maymon garnered second team honors.

Robillard has notched 464 digs and 22 aces in 33 matches during the 2013 campaign.  The Swansea, Massachusetts product leads the MASCAC in total digs and ranks second in the conference with 4.00 digs per set.

In 93 matches over three seasons with the Bears, Robillard has recorded 1,396 digs and 76 aces.  She is third all-time in BSU volleyball history with her 1,396 digs.  Including her one season at MCLA, Robillard has produced 1,610 digs and 125 aces as well as 577 assists in 119 career matches.

Maymon has made an immediate impact in her first season of collegiate volleyball.  The Narragansett, Rhode Island native has amassed 273 kills to go along with 230 digs, 22 blocks and a .204 hitting percentage in 33 matches to date.  Maymon ranks fifth in the MASCAC in kills and 12th in digs, and is tied for 11th in hitting percentage.

The BSU volleyball team is currently 16-17 on the year.  The Bears, who completed the regular season with a 4-2 conference mark, advanced to the MASCAC Tournament semifinals by virtue of a 3-0 victory over MCLA in quarterfinal round action on Wednesday.  Third-seeded Bridgewater will take on second-seeded Framingham State University on Saturday afternoon at one.  The MASCAC semifinals and championship match will take place at number one seed Westfield State University.
