Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to Sage at Trinity & Wesleyan Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-22, 30-28, 25-21) decision to the Gators of The Sage Colleges on Friday evening at the Trinity & Wesleyan Invitational Tournament.

Freshman setter Charleyne Panner (Gilford, N.H.) paced Bridgewater with 30 assists, five kills and six digs, while senior outside hitter Danielle Dean (Gilford, N.H.) tallied nine kills and 24 digs.

Freshman outside hitter Hannah Maymon (Narragansett, R.I.) added five kills, nine digs and an ace for the Bears, while senior libero Kristen Robillard (Swansea, Mass.) registered 15 digs. Freshman outside hitter Sydney Bennett (North Attleboro, Mass.) added six kills and sophomore middle hitter Julie Hutchins (Bellingham, Mass.) posted three kills and a pair of blocks (one solo).

The two-day Trinity & Wesleyan Invitational continues on Saturday as the Bears take on Eastern Connecticut State University at 11:00 AM and Western Connecticut State University at 3:00 PM.
