McDonough Competes in Hurdles at NCAA Championships

ROCHESTER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior Alison McDonough competed in the third heat of the 100-meter hurdles on Friday afternoon at the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the Polisseni Track & Field Complex on the campus of St. John Fisher University.

McDonough gave it a gallant effort but unfortunately clipped the first hurdle and did not complete the race. The Halifax, Massachusetts product qualified for the national championship meet with a career-best time of 14.05 seconds which she recorded last week at the MIT Final Qualifier.

Emma Lawrence (13.75) of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Lynchburg's Aniya Seward (13.85) of Lynchburg, Susquehanna's Chloe Yoder (13.86), Julia Pena (13.88) of York and Laura Mathews (13.91) of Stevens also qualified for Saturday's final.

The finals of the 100-meter hurdles will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
