Peterson 13th, Sands 21st in High Jump at NCAA Track & Field Championships

ROCHESTER, Mass. -- Senior Abbi Peterson (Watertown, Mass.) and junior Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) competed in the high jump during day one of the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the Polisseni Track & Field Complete on the campus of St. John Fisher University.

Peterson finished 13th out of a field of 22 student-athletes in the high jump with a leap of five feet, 3.25 inches (1.61m). She cleared the mark on her first attempt.

Sands jumped five feet, 1.25 inches (1.56m) on her third attempt to finish 21st.

Three student-athletes cleared five feet, 7.75 inches (1.72m) with junior Kira Porzio of U.S. Merchant Marine Academy capturing the national title by connecting on her second attempt.
