SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Seniors Jailene Escalera (Rockland, Mass.) and Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) each advanced to Saturday's finals to lead the Bridgewater State University women's track & field team during day one of the 2023 Division III New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Escalera advanced to the finals of the 100-meter dash as she finished eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 12.38 seconds.

McDonough advanced to the finals of the 100-meter hurdles as she finished third in the preliminaries with a time of 14.52 seconds.

McDonough also finished ninth in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash (12.45) and 11th in the long jump (17'4.75"/5.30m).

The two-day Division III New England Championships will conclude on Saturday with events getting underway at 10:00 AM.
